Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Wetin You Know? collects and how we use it. We keep it simple and collect only what we need to run the Game.

1. What we collect

• Account details — your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Game data — your scores, game history, badges, chosen host, and tournament results.
• Messages — anything you send us through the Contact box.
• Payment records — if you pay, we keep a record of the transaction (purpose, amount, reference). Your card details are handled by Paystack, not by us.
• Basic technical data — standard information your browser sends, used to keep the Game working and secure.

2. How we use it

• To run your account, save your progress, and show leaderboards.
• To process payments and give access to Premium and paid tournaments.
• To send you account emails such as welcome and password-reset messages.
• To respond to your messages and improve the Game.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use a login session cookie to keep you signed in, and your device's local storage to remember small preferences (such as your theme, chosen host, and recent questions so you don't see repeats). We do not sell your data.

4. Sharing

We share data only with the services that make the Game work — for example Paystack for payments, our email provider for account emails, and ElevenLabs for host voice generation. We may share information if required by law. Sponsored content may appear in the Game, but we do not hand your personal details to sponsors.

5. Keeping your data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time through the Contact box or the email below. Some records (such as payment records) may be kept where the law requires.

6. Your choices

You can update your details in your profile, play as a guest without an account, and ask us to access or delete your data. If you are under 18, please do not create an account.
