Short version: play fair, be 18+ for anything involving money or prizes, and don’t copy the game. The long version is below, in plain English.
Welcome to Wetin You Know? (“the Game”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or playing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.
Anyone can play free rounds. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, buy coins, or take part in any tournament or prize activity. By creating an account you confirm you are 18 or older.
One person, one account. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything done on your account. Give us accurate details and keep them up to date. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, or that are used for fraud, cheating, abuse, or to farm coins with multiple accounts.
The Game is free to play. Coins are the in-game currency: you earn them by playing (correct answers, perfect rounds, the Daily 5, inviting friends, watching a sponsor video) and you can buy coin packs with real money. Coins are spent on hints, second chances, extra rounds, tournament entries and the Premium pass.
Tournament rules, entry windows, entry cost in coins and any prizes are shown in the Game before you enter. Results are ranked by correct answers, then by speed. Every answer is checked on our servers.
Do not use bots, scripts, exploits, emulators, or multiple accounts to gain an advantage, farm coins or referral rewards, or disrupt the Game. Do not share answers during a live tournament. We may remove scores, coins or accounts that do, without refund.
The Game, including its questions, artwork, host characters, voices, logo, name and design, belongs to us or our licensors. You may share your score cards and invite links freely; you may not copy, scrape, resell or republish the Game or its questions without written permission. Feedback and messages you send us may be used to improve the Game.
The Game can listen for your spoken answer. Speech is turned into text by your browser or device; we receive the text of your answer, not a recording. The host’s voice is generated audio. If voice input does not understand you, you can always type instead.
We work hard to keep the Game running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, questions, categories, prices or tournaments, and may update these Terms. If a change is important we will tell you in the Game. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
The Game is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for problems caused by third parties such as your network, device, browser or payment provider. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable law, including Nigerian consumer protection law.
